Meanwhile, she is the guest speaker in TV programs and interviewed by various online media and newspaper for health feature.
Through more than 10 years clinical experience, the word Anson frequently hears is “PAIN”. Although she may not be able to feel the patients’ pain personally, through active listening, detailed assessment and accurate physical diagnosis, she is able to pin-point the source of pain for her patients. To hear her patients say their “pain had decreased” or they are “feeling much better” are the most fulfilling part of her job.
Anson is keen on manual therapy for spinal-related conditions. She holds the qualification of: Cert. in Manipulative Management of Spinal Related Disease (Overseas), Cert. in Positional Release and Dip. in Acupuncture & Moxibustion, also she is the Accredited Acupuncture Practitioner (HKPA). By her clinical experience and sensitive hands, she is able to palpate accurately the abnormal changes of soft tissue and joints as to correct them. Anson is also an active participant in local sporting events serving as a team physiotherapist previously, providing a holistic sport physiotherapy services to full-time football players in Hong Kong Premier League. She is a true professional inside and outside the pitch.
Anson strongly advocates the professional development of physiotherapy. She regularly hosts health seminars for large corporations with topics such as “Neck and back pain in office” and “Sport injuries” etc. She is also the Clinical Educator of BSc and MSc in Physiotherapy programme in Hong Kong Polytechnic University; her mission is to nurture student-physiotherapist with heart, following the model of “He who teaches, learns”.
